Portable Precision from Rapco |
The Rapco 7370 Portable Frequency Standard / Calibration Unit gives precise frequency and time signals in all situations where conventional laboratory instrumentation cannot be used. |
| The main features of the unit are as follows
: |
Battery powered for go anywhere use. |
Retains accurate time and frequency during long periods of field use due to calibration via GPS and high quality internal oscillator. |
Low power consumption for long battery life between recharges. |
Unique oscillator attitude sensing and compensation for optimal frequency stability. |
Fully automatic battery recharging and oscillator calibration overnight or while travelling via supplied in-car charger. |
LED and audible warning of low batteries or approaching calibration limit so all use is within guaranteed levels. |
Rugged design and construction for use in all industries and environments. |
The 7370 is just one of a family of portable Rapco units designed for military or other demanding applications.

800 Series Modular precision frequency reference systems for use in Calibration Laboratories.
| LARGE NUMBER OF USEFUL SPECIAL FUNCTIONS THAT MAY BE APPLIED IN BOTH LARGE-SCALE SYSTEMS, OR IN SMALL SUB-SYSTEMS. | |
| MODULES INDIVIDUALLY AC POWERED. | |
| FREE STANDING OR 19-INCH RACK-MOUNT WITH FOUR UNITS IN EACH 3U HIGH SUB-RACK. |
800 series cases are suitable for rack-mounting or bench-top installation. Because they are independent of external dc power supplies, and are fitted with a safe IEC ac power connector, individual modules can also be used in isolation on a shelf or bench top, or retrofitted into small available spaces in existing system racks.
Currently available module types are:
802C |
VLF Receiver |
(MSF-UK, 60kHz or DCF77-Germany) |
803 |
Stand-alone Quartz |
(5MHz or 10MHz versions) |
807C |
Frequency-difference |
(Centre-zero meter, ±1 in 10E9 full scale) |
808D |
Phase-Comparator |
With 0 to +1V dc output. |
809A |
5 output sinewave |
(+13dBm in 50ohm maximum output) |
810A |
5 output timing-pulse distribution |
(TTL outputs; will drive 50ohm terminations) |
820A |
5 output sinewave frequency-doubler |
(+13dBm in 50ohm maximum output) |
824C/ 825A |
Frequency Control module |
Automatic drift-correction against an external 1Hz or 10MHz reference. |
884A |
Auto-Changeover unit |
Switches between Master and Standby frequency sources. Automatic, manual or remote selection of source |
894A |
Dial clock driver unit |
Will drive up to 15 Moser-Baer Clocks. Requires +24V dc external power supply. |

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN 1HZ TIMING OUTPUT
AND UTC IS MAINTAINED SO THAT PRECISE RELATIVE TIMING CAN BE ACHIEVED
BETWEEN DISTANT INSTALLATIONS.
The 1804 can be used with confidence as a frequency reference for both analogue and digital T.V. & radio transmission, in Cellular networks and for Telecommunications timing. Other applications include military communication systems, satellite ground stations and calibration-laboratory systems, particularly in connection with the development and manufacture of high-technology products. With over 1,200 installations worldwide, the 1804, now in its third-generation, continues to offer an unmatched combination of accuracy, functionality and reliability.

PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION
1814Bxx are Quartz-referenced units The 1814 is available with some optional features; although these are restricted to those that are relevant to Timing applications. Individual variants are identified by a two-character suffix in the type number [xx in the above examples]. In this 'Timing-only' group, the 1814B1 is the baseline product, which is equipped with a simple TCXO 'keep-alive' reference oscillator, although with Timing from the GPS, accuracy remains similar to that of the 1804. A full-function RS232 control & monitoring port is standard, with protocols similar to those of the 1804. User-programmable Timecode is also standard (IRIG-A, or IRIG-B, or XR3, or 2137 may be selected) 2804 Series GPS MASTER CLOCK

These units have a high-quality Vacuum Fluorescent alphanumeric front-panel display, more manual control features and extensive built-in-test (BIT) facilities. State-of-the-art reference oscillators in both Quartz and Rubidium versions, offer improved stability and accuracy compared with the GPS1000, along with higher levels of stand-alone stability during hold-over. A fully-featured System Master-clock with Time and Frequency Outputs 19" Rack-Mount x 1U Height -- AC Powered -- DC Support
80-character VFD high quality front-panel Display.
