Rapco at EFTF ‘04

Rapco Electronics had a busy time at the European Time and Frequency Forum held at University of Surrey, Guildford from 5 to 7 April 2004. The exhibition was well attended by time and frequency experts from all over the world. As a service to the exhibition and to other exhibitors, Rapco installed a working indoor GPS re-radiation system so that live GPS data was available for all the GPS systems being exhibited. This made demonstrations much more meaningful and was warmly welcomed by visitors and exhibitors alike.

The system gave good GPS reception from the two Re-radiating antennae installed in the exhibition hall even though the outdoor antenna was simply installed on a photographic tripod just outside the exhibition building. This meant that the clear view of the best satellites was sometimes obscured by the proximity of the building.
