A) For Non-Date Handling Products
These products do not contain any circuitry that is date sensitive and do not
generate date information internally or carry out any date related processing.
Hence they are considered to be Millennium Compliant as defined in BSI
DISC PD2000-1.
B) For Date Handling Products with Four-Digit Year
These products have been designed to behave consistently for dates prior to,
during and after the Year 2000, including the recognition of leap years.
Hence they are considered to be Millennium Compliant as defined in BSI
DISC PD2000-1.
C) For Date Handling Products with Two-Digit Year
These products have been designed to behave consistently for dates prior to,
during and after the Year 2000, including the recognition of leap years. However
the interfaces present the year in a two-digit format so suitable inferencing
rules need to be applied.
Hence they are considered to be Millennium Compliant as defined in BSI
DISC PD2000-1.
In accordance with this definition, it is necessary to state the inferencing
rules that apply to data read from the interfaces of these products, which
signal the year number as a

96 to 99 inclusive,
then the Century is the 20th
If the year number is signalled as 00 to 95 inclusive,
